I was back to having 'not much' in the house to eat. I think I was down to frozen Brussel Sprout, frozen Corn, and Vegan Cheese, and Mashed Potato Flakes. I have been doing a few mini-shopping-stops but I haven't really been able to get past a week with what little I have been purchasing. I'm not saying that I fully replenished my pantry this past weekend but I was able to find some new-to-me-vegan-products at Wegmans.
I did grab some Field Roast Products this past weekend. This was one of the new-to-me ones I located and bought. They look simple enough. What caught my eye was the Garlic and Paprika flavor. Have you tried these yet? I also picked up some of their Mini Corn Dogs and Buffalo Wings - yes - both vegan. I didn't take a photo of those products because I have bought - and tried - them before.
I finally took the step and bought a "Daring" Product. I have seen them - here and there - before - but had not yet purchased them. This past weekend I finally did. I started with this one because it was the one that was on sale. I was hoping for a flavored one but I didn't see them. What are your thoughts on these - if you have had them before?
I remember having a Buffalo Cauliflower flavored Mings Bings before and liked it pretty well. I saw this kind and figured "why not". Have you tried any of the Mings Bings before? If so - which one(s) - what did you think?
I just happened to the Wegman's "Green V" in the lower left hand corner of the bags of Frozen Dinner Rolls the other day while walking by and had no idea they were "accidently vegan" - nor did I know they had so many different kinds - most of which are also vegan. I decided to purchase these Sourdough ones and...
Rosemary Olive Oil ones. If all goes as planned - I can see myself buying these whenever I am able to visit Wegman's. Fingers-crossed they are tasty!
With this Saffron Road Samoa with Chickpeas Wrap - I spent a bit more than I wanted to for 'just one wrap' but I really wanted to try it and so far wasn't over my overall budget for the grocery store trip so I decided to add it to my cart.
It's been a while since I have had Samosas and I have been craving them. I grabbed these as soon as I saw them and added them to my cart. I didn't realize until today that they came with 2 sauces! YAY!
Yesterday we spent the entire day at home. Not really by choice - we just didn't know where to go. Normally we would take day trips "somewhere" to get out and about but the last couple of years we haven't been doing that. This winter has been the most harsh in the last - 10 winters - probably - and I think we are all going 'stir-crazy'.
Cricket, on the other hand, enjoyed having us home. She was running all over the place for the first half of the day and then she 'slugged out' in the early afternoon.
We spent a couple of hours cleaning and then we watched hockey for a while.
I'm sure many of us have been in the 'same emotional boat' - but I can't stop thinking of the people of Ukraine. I was going to include more thoughts in this post but I have changed my mind for now and think I might assemble some researches for a future post (or two) on ways to help.
