It's been about a year since my parents and I discovered Serenity Glass Park in Port Alleghany, PA.  In this post I will be sharing an assortment of photos I took from there.  I have addition ones I posted to my IG back then, too, if you thumb thru them.

It's a small, public park at the intersection of Route 6 (Main Street) and East Mill Street in Port Allegany, PA, and the town was known for glass production - back in the day.

It was smackdab in winter - it was frigid - but there wasn't much (or any) snow at this time last year.  This year - is a different story.

With the first two photos you can see tall and slender panels of glass images.  In this 3rd photo - you can see metal or iron being used for the tree trunk and bottles for the leaves.  This was up against a brick building which the Glass Park was on a corner lot - if you can visualize that.

Here's another "tree" they did with the bottles.  You can see a glass (and brick) wall that somewhat encloses the park from the sidewalk/street areas, too.

Everywhere we looked there was something interesting that incorpored glass in some way.  The different colors you see at the base of this tree had animals printed on/in the glass.  Pretty neat!

Here's another view of it and you can see on the left a walkway to an entrance way - it was almost like a portion of a castle or something like that to give you a comparison.

And a close up - from the other side - there were multiple "doorways" and you can see my parents getting ready to walk thru them.

This was the rounded side of the "doorways" or the "castle-like" part.  Look at all of that glass!

This was another way to get in to the walk-thru park area from the street/sidewalk.  You can also see two more "trees".  I just love "roadside oddities" and hope to find more of them this year, too!

What do you think of these types of posts?  Do you like seeing them?  I know they are a departure from the vegan and foodie posts I usually do.  Do you have anything like this in your region?  I'd love to hear about it.
