Last weekend when we were able to get out and about and spend most of the day in the Buffalo Area we decided to visit one of our favorite places - Pizza Plant. They have a lot of vegan options. This time I opted for the Stuffed Pizza. I had not tried it before. I'm glad I did. To try and describe this as best as possible...here goes...
The top layer is SAUCE and LOTS of it! Then underneath that is a layer of dough. The next layer is HEFTY - it's the stuffed layer. It's stuffed with what ever you choose. I went with the Vegan Cheese and Artichokes. Then there was another layer of thick dough. I guess it's similar to a Deep Dish as far as the thickness is concerned but does have the added value of another layer and the sauce on top.
I ordered a Baby size which is a little bigger around and a whole lot deeper than a Personal (Pan) Pizza. I was only able to eat half of it. I took the other half home and it was just a good the 2nd day. It was actually a little easier to use a fork on to dig in on "Cold Pizza/2nd Day" attempt.
This was awesome, I have to say.
