I have so many photos from my weekend I wanted to break it up into a few posts. In this one I will be blogging a bit more about some of the things I found and purchased at The Vegan Grocery Store in Tonawanda (Buffalo). First up is Dr. Praeger's Four Potato Hashbrowns. I don't think I have had these before but they sounded like they would be up my alley.
I bought these Pierogi's the last time I stopped for a visit. They are locally made in Buffalo, NY, and with this specific packaging and label - some of the proceeds go to Roswell Park's Children Fighting Cancer and Blood Disorders Program.
I've seen Mikey's Products online but haven't seen them in grocery stores here to actually buy so when I saw The Vegan Grocery Store had this one I grabbed it. I haven't tried it yet tho.
Check out this Follow Your Heart Pesto Vegenaise. I can't say as I have seen this before either. I have already opened it up and I'm using it as a condiment but also a dip. It's tasty!
This was something I grabbed but I really don't know what to do with now. I might just eat it out of the container with a spoon, honestly. It looked interesting and I have never seen it before. I don't eat a lot of sweets so I figured I would treat myself and try it. Have you tried this before? If so - what were your thoughts?
It's been a couple of years since I have had Kala Namak (Black Salt) in my house. I don't usually see it in store near us and I don't use a lot of salt so when I do buy it - it literally lasts me YEARS. I figured it was time to finally purchase some more. Mostly because I saw this in the store and already had ideas for it.
I've been - and bought - some of these locally - but they rarely - if ever - have the Peach Apricot flavor. I decided to purchase one of them - along with one of these...
Like I said. I figured I would actually treat myself to a sweet or two. This should hold me for a while.
I've seen these in the past but I have never bought them...until this past Saturday. My plan is to Air Fry them. I already have a Thousand Island type dressing/dip in mind for them. Have you tried them yet? What do you think of them?
The other Vegan Sea Food Alternative I purchased was Sophie's Kitchen Breaded Shrimp. The price wasn't too bad on them. I've never tried these before either.
I bought this Plant Pure Smoky Country Breakfast Burrito. It was a tad more than I wanted to spend for 1 burrito but I also wanted to try something from Plant Pure because I don't have access to their products.
When I grabbed these and put them in my cart I thought they were the original flavor. I was overjoyed when I realized - at home while unpacking - that they were Sweet Chili! I have tried other products from Sol Cuisine but I haven't tried these and I have to try every Vegan Cauliflower Wing at LEAST once when I am able.
And finally I bought this HUGE Loaf of Vegan Bread made by a local Buffalo baker - Planty Baker. It was $8 but there was only one left. There was a Chedd'h (Vegan Cheese) Bread, too, but that was $12 and I had already spent enough on this specific trip. I had some last night for dinner. I made a HUGE Panini with some of this and the Vegan Cheese I was able to find deals on over the last couple of days. It was good!
Here's the sign. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this store. I wish I lived closer. I was able to go once last spring and again this past weekend. I really hope I'll be back before next year!
