I'm thinking I might do grits tonight for dinner. I've done a few different things with grits over the years. More recently because grits aren't something my family ate much when I was young. From what I understand they're more popular in the south and we have always been from the north. But they are so cheap and so quick so the older I get the more I like them.
For these I made the grits and added vegan butter and vegan cheese. I then topped with herbs and 2 sauces. I made a Tahini Sauce and a Cilantro Saue. For the Tahini Sauce - I made it with Tahini, Water, Lemon Juice, Garlic, and a pinch of Sea Salt. For the Cilantro Sauce I used some Cilantro Paste I bought from ALDI a while back and watered it down with some water and/or lemon juice. It was pretty tasty!
