Oh - how I wish - this was part of my kitchen. A girl - can dream. Anyways, it's been a while since my last Thursday Thirteen post and I thought it might be nice to choose 13 things that have 'gotten their use' so far this month in my kitchen.
#1 - I'm currently thumbing thru this eBook from Todd Sinclair. I have to say - it's pretty impressive. I will be doing several mini reviews and collabs soon but I wanted to throw it out there for this list because it's something that has been getting a work out not only in my kitchen but on my phone, on my IG, and on my sofa!
#2 - Lowcountry Olive Oil. My sister is pretty obsessed with this stuff. I can understand why. Lucky for me - she's gotten us some the last 2 Christmas seasons. Here are 3 of the ones I had from last year. I will say I ran out of the Basil and Garlic really quick. The Cranberry Pear is great, too, but it's a Balsamic VS an Oil. I literally just realized that they have a dill infused olive oil that I think I might have to purchase. I wonder if my sister knows!
#3 - My most recent Ninja purchase - which was from a couple of months ago but it's still used nearly daily in my house. I have to say - more specifically - the 2 smaller containers and blades - while using the Extract feature.
#4 - Tasty Knives - again - NOT a brand new purchase - but still used daily. I have to admit when I first bought them I cut myself and bled pretty bad but it healed nicely, thankfully. I know it was because I wasn't used to such a strong knife at the time. I had been using really dull and cheap ones for all-too-long.
#5 - Bamboo Cutting Boards - something I have used for years but still gets used almost more than anything else in my kitchen. I have a few of them that I am rotating between right now, too.
#6 - Vortex Mini - Yes - I've had it a while - but I have been using it almost daily. I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record but I totally LOVE some of my kitchen gadets! I wouldn't be shocked if we purchased another new 'something' for the kitchen but more on THAT when and if we do. But for this Vortex Mini...this is MY Air Fryer. DH has his regular sized one for his stuff. We each have our own because he is NOT vegan. I do like mine better than his, I have to say. Plus, I used mine way more than he uses his. We hardly ever use our kitchen over anymore.
#7 - Primo Water Dispenser - LOVE LOVE LOVE this. Best purchase! It has room temperature, super cold, and super hot on demand. Our tap water at home is gross and this has been a life saver! I cannot say enough about it.
#8 - Vitamix Blender - just because I'm all hot on my new Ninja Blender - doesn't mean I still don't use my Vitamix from time to time. I won't get rid of it until it's completely dead. It still works well but the motor has been less than perfect the last couple of years. I think I have had it for about 10 years.
#9 - BlendTec WildSide Container - I also have one of these. It's a BlendTec WildSide Container. It fits on the Vitamix base. I like the Vitamix container for some things and I like the BlendTec for other things. And now...Ninja has come back into play. I have and will continue to use them all until I can't anymore.
#10 - Coconut Aminos - I've almost - exclusively - switched from Bragg's Liquid Amino's - over to Coconut Amino's now. I like that added sweetness to the Coconut Amino's that the regular doesn't offer.
#11 - Pine Nuts - Pine Nuts aren't something I use as much as I would like - mostly beause they aren't available often in my town - and when I find them at the next town over - they are REALLY expensive. I have found some price relief at Trader Joe's - but - my visits to TJ's are few and far between...mostly because we have to travel 2 or 3 hours to our closest one. When I do go - I try to pick some Pine Nuts up!
#12 - Apple Cider Vinegar. I use a splash here and a splash there in recipes OFTEN. And I mean OFTEN. It's certainly a staple in my kitchen. Apple Cider Vinegar...and...
#13 - Lemon Juice. Another one I use a little bit here and a little bit there but use OFTEN. It just really adds to almost all of the dips, sauces, spreads I make.
What are some of the things you use on the daily in your kitchen?
