Back on April 8th - I went over to my parents house for a few hours after work. Mom and I decided to visit our local Audubon on-the-fly. It was the last weekend of their Audubon Lights. It's an annual fundraiser for the center and these photos will show you some of the pics from that night. It started off with fair weather but then got pretty cold. It was muddy, too. But the lights were AWESOME! This may be my favorite one! You can see the reflection in the water on many of them.
They lit up a bunch of the trees and ponds like you see here. Very pretty, indeed!
There was an overlook to the Big Pond that had these lights underneath. They looked like Fire Flies! An entire field of them. A very interesting optical illusion for sure!
They decorated one of the play areas with Black Lights, regular lights, art, and props. It was really fun!
On one of the trails they stringed umbrellas over top of those hiking underneath and lit them up, too!
The paths had "paper bag laterns" to light the walkways. This part of the trail also had hops that were lit!
There were a few art pieces on cloth that were made with Black Light Paint and hung up for display. This is one of my favorites...a Flying Squirrel!
This one has regular paint but with a spot light.
Here is the Education Pavilion that was dedicated to my friend who passed several years ago. I will be blogging more about that down the road but it was really lovely that night and she would have LOVED the event!
They had a few people doing Glow-in-the-Dark Hoola-Hopping! There was also a Bon Fire nearby.
And here was one of the larger trees by the main building. They had a changing light...
Here is the 2nd color. and the 3rd color is below...which one do you like best?
