I've always LOVED waterfalls. Eventho the Shequaga Falls was dry when we went 2 springs ago. Shequaga Falls is right smackdab in the middle of a town called Montour, NY, in the backyard of a historic old home/structure.
The waterfall is right under the bridge and above the roof in thise photo. I'll have more photos below showing more of it. BUT...if you want to see the waterfall with actually water in it - and not dry like you see here - I found THIS PAGE that has some wondeful info and photos. Montour, NY, isn't too far from Watkins Glen, NY.
It's literally right next door from this home, too. It's sets back a bit but still - VERY CLOSE to residental homes! Could you imagine having a waterfall in your backyard like this?
And here's a street view of it. I really wish there was water flowing the day we were there. Regardless I enjoyed the day trip and LOVED being able to take photos.
Here you can see just how dry it actually was in 2020. Still a really awesome rock underneath.
I guess after taking a 2 year blogging break and then going back thru my photos I am learning just how many neat things I was still able to do in that time. I want to document them somewhere other that IG so that's why I am posting about them now, too.
Do you have any waterfalls in your region? When's the last waterfall you saw up-close?
