There's a new Plant-Based/Vegan Group in town and I was finally able to attend my first dinner last night.  It was at Bent Run Brewery and they usually are NOT open on Wednesdays but they open 'special' for us and with a special VEGAN MENU.  Above is that menu.  There were about 20 of us that attended.  It was very well socially distanced and I went by myself but so did two other ladies so we shared a HUGE table.  We also masked when we weren't eating.

We started things off with these Tofu Summer Rolls.  They were very nice.  I couldn't decide if I liked the Mango Chutney or the Peanut Sauce better.

Here's a closer look at the Mango Chutney.  It was SO FRESH!  The rice wraps worked pretty well, too.

And the Peanut Sauce.  It was sort of strange that a TV station was there filming us while we ate.  That made a few of us feel uncomfortable - but - it was great publicity for the Vegan Group and the cause of pushing forward veganism in smaller towns/areas.

Next up we had a nice salad which you can see on the menu but also here in this photo.  The Roaster Butternut Squash was great!  The Balsamic Glaze was YUMMY, too!

The main dish was Vegan Tikka Masala and it was pretty awesome, I have to say.  Most of the ingredients are listed above in the menu but they didn't put Tofu in the description (or the Edamame) which - you can see - there are both present.

Here's another look at the Tikka Masala.  The Tofu was semi-crispy which I really enjoyed.  The organizers did a really good job.  Their goal is to get area restaurants to incorporate more vegan options on the menus here.  Which we are ALL FOR.
