This is Kesa (pronounced Key-suh) and she is my Grandmother-in-law's cat.  We celebrated Gram's 94th Birthday over the weekend.  Saturday Night we went to a local club to eat and we were the only ones in the dining room - YAY!  We sat at a HUGE table so we were very much socially distanced.  Sunday afternoon we brought food over to her house.  Right before we left I noticed that Kesa was on my coat.  Apparently she was liking it.

Isn't she adorable?  I miss having a cat in our home.

In other cat news - my sister's one cat got out of their house and was gone for 8 days during the extreme weather we have been having.  I really thought they wouldn't see her again BUT she came home and she's doing great!   I wouldn't be shocked if she ended up pregnant and they'll have to start thinking about kittens!  Time will tell.

Here's a photo I took the middle of last week when I was on my way to the Vegan Group/Dinner.  The sky was so vibrant - what a sunset!

Another snapshot from the weekend...a car fire!  I was enjoying my slumber when I got a text from DH (he was sleeping upstairs and I was downstairs) asking if there were fire trucks outside.  As soon as I went to the front door to see there was an explosion and I saw this.  It was out neighbor's care...ON FIRE!

The white car just a few feet in front is our other car that hubby drives.  Our houses are VERY close together AND close to the road.  We were SO LUCKY that the fire didn't spread.

I was going to add two recipes to this post but as I type this I think I am going to make they separate posts, instead.  This specific post is already going to be a long one.  I'm still trying to catch up on my new stones/rocks/crystals.

This, here, is a Poppy Jasper tumble.  I'm really loving the rich red color and pattern.  It's good for happiness, joy, helps alleviate stress, and connect with Mother Nature.

I've only recently gotten into Aura Quartz.  I was able to take quite a few photos of this one for you to see.  Just look at the shine!

This one is actually Ethereal Aura Quartz.  Some call it Peacock Blue Aura Quartz and I can see why.

It's a man-made piece but still pretty cool.  "Kiss of the Heavens" is how it's described on the website.

Another one I added to my collection is this Bird's Eye Rhyolite.  The pattern is pretty neat.  Unique.  I took a few snaps of this one, too, because it does look different from front to back.

It's a stone for meditating on the future.  This stone hails from Mexico.  I'm so glad I grabbed it the last time I placed an order over at The Crystal Gemstone Shop.  I really like this one.

I also added this Buddstone to my collection.  I just LOVE the waxy looking texture of it.  It's a stone for growth and evolution.  Most of the other stones I saw have a pattern or are multi-color and maybe one day I will try and get one of those, too, but for now I'm happy to add this one to my collection.

DH's father passed away of COVID over the weekend.  DH and I have been with eachother for over 20 years (married for 19) and I never met the man.  Without getting into it - they were NOT close as you can gather but it's still sad that COVID has cost another life.
